Support Services
Buildingweb offers a flexible support service and a comprehensive training program for all of our clients.
Since the level of training and support is directly related to the knowledge and role of the user, we recommend beginning with some basic training to get you started. We also provide more in-depth training to Help Desk and client administrators to provide a higher level of understanding of the infrastructure.
Once our basic user course is completed, the support program typically works as follows:
- Email support is available as no cost to all Buildingweb users with a commitment to respond within 24 hours during regular business hours (typically 9:00AM to 5:00PM EST, Monday to Friday).
- For telephone support, we supply our support services on a time basis with two tiers of support - during business hours or after-hours emergency support.
- For clients with existing Help Desk services, we will often blend our support into the Help Desk program. The Help Desk personnel acts as the first line of defence and has a base understanding of the application, answering or redirecting support requests as necessary. Arrangements can be made that critical support requests can be escalated to key Buildingweb administrators at any hour.
Training Courses:
Training of users can be provided locally at your facility, or at an off-site location. The facility should provide each trainee with a computer station with Internet access.
- Basic Users (Browse Data) - The Basic Users course is a one-day course that will cover the methodology, how the database is constructed, and how to generate the necessary output the users will need to perform their job. This course is typically 5 to 7 hours, but can be modified to meet the needs of the user.
- Advanced Users (Edit and Browse Data) - The Advanced User course is a two-day course that builds on the basic user course and will go into greater detail in the methodology, database construction, inputting into the database, and output generation. This course will be targeted to the personnel auditing and updating the budgets for your buildings. The necessary skills to extract the information to develop funding strategies and custom reporting will also be covered.
- Administrators (Network Facilitators) - The Administrator User course is a two-day course. The first day of this course is the Basic User course, with the second day focusing on the portfolio management, user maintenance, and other administrative functions.
- Custom Curricula - We provide custom training for organizations to meet their needs. This includes introductory presentations to educate large groups that show what can be done, the basic use and how it pertains to their positions.
